The annual holiday parade will be held on Saturday  December 3rd at 5:00 p.m.   Please call the Village Hall at 879-2004 if you are interested in being in the parade.  The parade will start at the Village Hall at 303 E. Beloit Street and commence to the High School at 408 W. Beloit Street.  Line up will be at 4:30 p.m. at the Village Hall.   The Lions Club will have hot chocolate at Purdy Park after the parade.  Santa Clause will also be at the park, so bring your family!




There are two pavilions available at Purdy Park to use for private functions.  You must reserve the pavilion ahead of time.  You can begin making reservations for 2017 on January 3, 2017.  There is a $50.00 deposit due when making the reservation.  You will get half of the deposit back if the pavilion is left in good order.  



The December tax bills will be mailed out in mid December.   Please remember that you pay your tax bill at the Rock County Treasurer.  If you receive a check that is made out to the Village of Orfordville, you will need to bring it to the Village Hall.  We can stamp it so it is payable to the Rock County Treasurer.

You have options when making your tax payments.  You can pay by phone through GovTech at 1-855-912-7625, there is a$1.00 fee for paying by phone.  You can also mail your payment to Rock County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1508, Janesville, WI 53547-1508.   Please write your tax ID number on your check so your payment is property applied.   You can also pay in person at the Rock County Courthouse. The Treasurers Office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. They will be closed December 23, December 26, and January 2nd for the holidays.


Dog Licenses for 2017 are now available.  Altered dogs cost $3.00, unaltered dogs cost $8.00.  Please bring your vet information with you when you license your dog.  The information should show the date of vaccination, the rabies tag number, and the expiration date.   A $5.00 late fee will be assessed for licenses purchased after April 1, 2017.







   The Village of Orfordville has vacancies on the Police Commission.  Please call 879-2004 if you are interested in serving on the Commission. The Police Commission handles personnel matters such as hiring of officers and disciplinary matters.   The Commission meets as needed.
