Fahrner Construction will start crack filling the Village streets on May 2nd.   There should be little to no interruption for the residents in the Village for the crack filling portion of the street project.  If you have to wait, it will only be a couple minutes.  Most every street in town will have crack filling repairs done.   There will be no parking on some streets, those streets will be properly noticed

The second part of the project will be sealing the streets.  There will be disruption of driving on streets for this phase of the project.  The sealing is tentatively scheduled to start in three weeks, depending on the weather.  Residents with water accounts will be mailed a letter explaining the project in the near future.  Please call Karl at 608-295-5959 if you have any questions.

DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENTS ...The Economic Development Committee is working on upgrading the downtown.   We will be upgrading the corner at the old library. The stamped concrete has been laid, benches, tables, a bike rack, and landscaping will also be done.  The focus is to improve the downtown in our community.   We are working with Alliant to see about getting decorative street lights in the downtown area as well.  We are excited to welcome Molly's Creations to 202 W. Beloit Street, Suite A, located in the downtown.  Molly's Creations will offer re-purposed furniture, custom made pillows, woodworking, jewelry, photographs,  and other items made locally. Gramma Habba's will be expanding their business and be located at 202 E. Beloit Street on the corner.   Gramma Habba's offers antiques, vintage, and re-purposed items.    The Economic Development Committee is driven to draw business to the downtown and Business Park.    We have two vacant spots downtown and lots available in the Business Park. There are outside facade grants available for businesses located outside of the Business Park as well.  Please call the Village Hall for more information.
