The Community Room at the Village Hall is available to use for events.   It is a great location to host family get togethers, baby or bridal showers, card clubs, coffee groups, etc.   There is a kitchenette and eight round tables that seat forty people.  Please call the Sherri at 608-879-2004 for more information.



The Orfordville Economic Development Committee will be having a ribbon cutting ceremony at Molly's Creations at 202 E. Beloit Street, Suite A at 9:00 a.m.   Molly's Creations offers primitive finds and painted furniture.  They are also a distributor of Dixie Belle paints.


There will be a lot of activity in Orfordville on Saturday, June 16th.   In addition to June Days, the Library will be having their pancake breakfast, the Ribbon Cutting at Molly's Creation, the Splashdash 5K sponsored by the Lions Club, and a vendor event at A Cut Above to introduce a new clothing line.



The American Legion will host June Days on June 14-17, 2018.   


The June Days parade will be held on Sunday, June 17th at noon.  Please call Karl Stuvengen at 295-5959 with questions on the parade.  You can also register with Karl or by calling the Village Hall at 879-2004.




There are two pavilions available at Purdy Park to use for private functions.  You must reserve the pavilion ahead of time.  You can begin making reservations for 2018 on January 2, 2018.  There is a $50.00 deposit due when making the reservation.  You will get half of the deposit back if the pavilion is left in good order.  





The yard waste site is open on Saturday and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.



Dog Licenses for 2018 are now available.  Altered dogs cost $3.00, unaltered dogs cost $8.00.  Please bring your vet information with you when you license your dog.  The information should show the date of vaccination, the rabies tag number, and the expiration date.   A $5.00 late fee will be assessed for licenses purchased after April 1, 2018.






DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENTS ...The Economic Development Committee is working on upgrading the downtown.  New stamped concrete in in place and the landscaping is almost complete.  Picket fencing will also be put up.  We are excited to welcome Molly's Creations to 202 W. Beloit Street, Suite A, to town and will have a ribbon cutting on Saturday, June 16th at 9:00 a.m.   Molly's Creations will offer re-purposed furniture, custom made pillows, woodworking, jewelry, photographs,  and other items made locally. Gramma Habba's has expanded their business and is now located at 202 E. Beloit Street on the corner.   Gramma Habba's offers antiques, vintage, and re-purposed items.    We are happy that Kevin & Becca Wellnitz have purchased the former Donna's Gas & Grocery and look forward to the upgrades they will be making.  The Economic Development Committee is driven to draw business to the downtown and the Business Park. There are outside facade grants available for businesses located outside of the Business Park as well.  Please call the Village Hall for more information.
