The Community Room at the Village Hall is available to use for events.   It is a great location to host family get togethers, baby or bridal showers, card clubs, coffee groups, etc.   There is a kitchenette and eight round tables that seat forty people.  Please call the Sherri at 608-879-2004 for more information.

There is no parking on Village Streets until after the streets are plowed.  The Police Department does give out tickets for those that are parked in the street.

The Village has ordinances that require sidewalks to be clear of snow and ice within 24 hours after snow ceases to accumulate in residential areas.   Commercial Areas have until 9:00 a.m. Monday thru Saturday and until Noon on Sunday.  The Village can serve/post a 2 hour notice on the property if it is not shoveled.  After two hours, the Village will shovel the sidewalk and the owner of the property will be billed.

Please keep hydrants clear of snow.  A path to the hydrant from the curb is ideal. This saves crucial time for the fire department in the event of a fire.    Help your neighbor out if they need help keeping it clear.

There are two pavilions available at Purdy Park to use for private functions.  You must reserve the pavilion ahead of time.  You can begin making reservations for 2018 on January 2, 2018.  There is a $50.00 deposit due when making the reservation.  You will get half of the deposit back if the pavilion is left in good order.

The Electronic Recycling Drive will be held on June 2, 2018 at the Village Hall at 303 E. Beloit Street.   This is open to residents of the Village of Orfordville only.  Village residents have to pay for this service, so we have to limit it to village residents only.

The yard waste site is closed until spring.

Dog Licenses for 2018 are now available.  Altered dogs cost $3.00, unaltered dogs cost $8.00.  Please bring your vet information with you when you license your dog.  The information should show the date of vaccination, the rabies tag number, and the expiration date.   A $5.00 late fee will be assessed for licenses purchased after April 1, 2018.

DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENTS ...The Economic Development Committee is working on upgrading the downtown.   We will be upgrading the corner at the old library. The stamped concrete has been laid, benches, tables, a bike rack, and landscaping will also be done.  The focus is to improve the downtown in our community.   We are working with Alliant to see about getting decorative street lights in the downtown area as well.  We are excited that The Haven Coffee Shop, Autumn Luminese, and The Sassy Farm Chicks are now all open for business.  The Economic Development Committee is driven to draw business to the downtown and Business Park.    We have two vacant spots downtown and lots available in the Business Park. There are outside facade grants available for businesses located outside of the Business Park as well.  Please call the Village Hall for more information.
