WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE OF ORFORDVILLE

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
The Village recently was awarded a Community Development Block Grant. The grant is a low interest loan for low income residents that are in need of home repairs. Rock County Planning & Development will administer the grant on behalf of the village. They will have office hours at the village hall on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please call Sherri Waege (879-2004) at the Village Hall if you have any questions.

June Days
June Days will be held from Thursday, June 13th through Sunday, June 16th. The parade will be at noon on Sunday. More details will follow closer to the date.

ORFORDVILLE RUMMAGE SALES
Orfordville Rummage Sales will be on Saturday, May 4th. You must sign up to have a sale in the Village. Sign ups will go out on April 10th. You can sign up at Donna's, the Library, Farmer's & Merchan'ts Bank, and the Village Hall. Sign up cost is $2.00.

SPRING YARD WASTE PICK UP
YARD WASTE PICK UP
The Orfordville Public Works Department will be picking up yard waste beginning the week of Monday, April 29th through Friday May 10th. Please place your yard waste items in the terrace area. Do not bag the leaves or rake the leaves into the streets, it clogs the storm sewers. Branches more than six inches in diameter will not be picked up. The public works department will not pick up trash, lumber, or stumps. Please call 608-295-5959 if you have any questions.

BURN PERMITS
You are required to have a burn permit to burn in the Orfordville Fire District. Please call the fire station at 879-2122 prior to your controlled burn. You will also have to call the non emergency number at the 911 center at 757-2244. You do not need a permit in the Village of Orfordville if you are having a bon fire in a contained fire pit.
