COMMUNITY ROOM IS AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC USE

The Community Room at the Village Hall is available to use for events.   It is a great location to host family get togethers, baby or bridal showers, card clubs, coffee groups, etc.   There is a kitchenette and eight round tables that seat forty people.  Please call the Sherri at 608-879-2004 for more information.

BIKE RODEO  

The Fire Department will be having their annual Bike Rodeo on Saturday, August 18th at the Fire Station.  Please call the Fire Department at 608-879-2122 for more information.

 

LIFE IN PINK PHOTOGRAPHY RIBBON CUTTING

The Orfordville Economic Development Committee will host a ribbon cutting for Life in Pink Photography on Saturday, July 28th at 10:00 a.m.    Life in Pink Photography is located at 100 E. Spring Street in Orfordville.  Stop in for the free drawing and to see what Rose Peterson has to offer!

The yard waste site  hours have changed.  Unfortunately, the hours had to be restricted due to trees and junk being left at the site.   The site will now be manned by a Public Works Employee.  The new hours are  Saturday from 10:00a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  The site is only open to residents of the Village of Orfordville.

 

PAVILION RESERVATION AT PURDY PARK

There are two pavilions available at Purdy Park to use for private functions.  You must reserve the pavilion ahead of time.  You can begin making reservations for 2018 on January 2, 2018.  There is a $50.00 deposit due when making the reservation.  You will get half of the deposit back if the pavilion is left in good order.  

 

The Airing of the Quilts in Downtown Orfordville  September 22 & 23, 2018.

The Sassy Farm Chicks will be having their first annual Airing of the Quilts at 203 W. Beloit Street on The Patio.   There will be a Chilli & Soup cookoff on Saturday, September 22nd beginning at 5:00 p.m.   On Sunday, September 23rd, there will be a Quilt O Free Bingo Game at 6:00 p.m.   Stop by the Patio for the fun.  There will be beautiful quilts on display outside on The Patio.

 

 

 

 

 

Dog Licenses for 2018 are now available.  Altered dogs cost $3.00, unaltered dogs cost $8.00.  Please bring your vet information with you when you license your dog.  The information should show the date of vaccination, the rabies tag number, and the expiration date.   A $5.00 late fee will be assessed for licenses purchased after April 1, 2018.

DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENTS ...The Economic Development Committee is working on upgrading the downtown.  New stamped concrete in in place and the landscaping is almost complete.  Picket fencing will also be put up.  We are excited to welcome Molly's Creations to 202 W. Beloit Street, Suite A, to town.   Molly's Creations will offer re-purposed furniture, custom made pillows, woodworking, jewelry, photographs,  and other items made locally. Gramma Habba's has expanded their business and is now located at 202 E. Beloit Street on the corner.   Gramma Habba's offers antiques, vintage, and re-purposed items.    We are happy that Kevin & Becca Wellnitz have purchased the former Donna's Gas & Grocery and look forward to the upgrades they will be making.  The Economic Development Committee is driven to draw business to the downtown and the Business Park.
