We are a quiet community who are proud to be the home of Parkview School District - the highest rated school district in Rock and Green Counties (source). We have lots of entrepreneurial energy in our downtown and business park, and plenty of room to grow! We are a wonderful community to raise a family in, retire to, or expand your business in.
DID YOU KNOW? ORFORDVILLE, WI WAS A 2020 WI RURAL BROADBAND DEVELOPMENT GRANT RECIPIENT. FIBER OPTIC INSTALLATION WILL BE COMPLETED SPRING OF 2023.
We currently have multiple lots available for business development.
With our addition of the CountryView Estates subdivision in 2000 and the Mill Valley subdivision in early 2021, that will add more than 35 homes; we are seeking businesses and amenities to support our growing community. We recently surveyed village residents and found there is a high interest in seeing a local grocer, pharmacy, and a health clinic.

Economic Development Grant Program for Local Businesses
The purpose of the Village of Orfordville Facade Business Improvement Grant Program is to encourage the upgrade and renewal of exterior facades for existing buildings in the area. The reimbursement program will help maintain and enhance the overall attractiveness and commercial viability in the Village.
This is a great program that has helped to improve the look of our downtown and business park. More than 20 grants have been given to local businesses since the program was introduced in 2016.

Other Programs and Resources for Local Businesses
Our Economic Development Committee is highly invested in the success of local businesses. We sponsor radio ads continually promoting Orfordville and rotate through highlighting local businesses and events. Each local business has the opportunity to participate in this program. We also highlight businesses on our Facebook page, Only in Orfordville, and feature local business, Parkview, and community events on our Community Calendar. We schedule and advertise ribbon cutting ceremonies for each new business, as well.
The Village also takes part in a number of different annual events that bring in people from all over; including the Block Party, Shop Small Saturday, Vintage Shop Hop, Airing of the Quilts, and more.

Business Park Survey - August 2020

A study in growth
In 2019 the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning reasear students conducted a study on Orfordville, WI. Based on demographic, economic and technology trends, commuter patterns, and a growing nationwide interest in rural communities - this visioning exercise looked ahead to the year 2050.
