VILLAGE PRESIDENT UPDATE
President Burtness read the following:
“ As we enter the end of 2024, I want everyone to understand how incredible this year has been. The ambulance has been in service 100% of 2024. The skills our paramedics are trained to do have resulted in several of our citizens surviving significant illnesses or injuries and walking out of the hospital. It is incredibly difficult to quantify just how many people have benefited from our excellent care. We have been able to begin assisting neighboring communities with paramedic intercepts. We have successfully done intercepts with Albany, Brodhead and Footville, providing their citizens with a higher level of care in a timelier fashion than waiting for paramedics from further away. We appreciate the time and effort of our Fire and EMS staff in giving of their time and expertise. Thanks for all involved with the Christmas at the Fire Station. Everyone enjoyed the hot chocolate, popcorn, movie and a visit with Santa.
From all of us on the board, committees, and village staff, we want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you to all the volunteers helping out throughout the year with events and many other things that often go unnoticed, but please know they are appreciated.”
ADJOURN
Motion by Gerber, seconded by Morris to adjourn at 7:05 p.m. Motion carried.
