VILLAGE OF ORFORDVILLE

Special Board Meeting

Thursday, December 5, 2024  6:00 p.m.

CALL TO ORDER

                President Dennis Burtness called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  Present were President Burtness, David Olsen, Beth Schmidt, and Terry Gerber.  Absent were Cami Myers-Alstat, Nikki Tuffree, and Terry Morris.  Also present were Chief Jeremiah Burdick, DPW Director Nick Todd, and Clerk Sherri Waege.

AGENDA VERIFICATION

                Clerk Waege verified that on December 2, 2024, copies of the agenda were delivered to the President and Trustees; and posted at the Village Hall, Library, and the Orfordville Post Office.  There were no additions made to the agenda.

PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 2025 GENERAL FUND BUDGET

                President Dennis Burtness opened the Public Hearing for the 2025 General Fund Budget at 6:02 p.m.  There were no citizens present for the Public Hearing.

CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 2025 GENERAL FUND BUDGET

                There were no public comments in regards to the 2025 General Fund Budget.    The Public Hearing was closed at 6:04 p.m.

APPROVE THE 2025 GENERAL FUND BUDGET

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Schmidt to approve the 2025 General Fund Budget for $1,763,650.00.  Roll Call Vote- Olsen, Schmidt, Gerber, and President Burtness all YES.  Motion carried.

APPROVE THE 2025 TAX LEVY

                Motion by  Gerber, seconded by Schmidt to approve the 2025 tax levy of $810,050.00.  Roll Call Vote-Olsen, Schmidt, Gerber, and President Burtness-all YES.   Motion carried.

ADJOURN

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Schmidt to adjourn at 6:08 p.m.  Motion carried.
