VILLAGE OF ORFORDVILLE

Regular Board Meeting

Monday, February 10, 2020  7:00 P.M.

CALL TO ORDER

                President Gary Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Present were President Phillips, Beth Schmidt, Chuck Boyce, Terry Gerber, Nikki Tuffree, and Jason Knox.   Also present were Jason Nehls, Jeb McMahon, Chief Brian Raupp, Library Director Sarah Strunz, DPW Director Nick Todd, and Clerk Sherri Waege.  Absent was Tina Suiter Meyers.

AGENDA VERIFICATION

                Clerk Waege verified that on February 7, 2020, copies of the agenda were delivered to the President and Trustees; and posted at the Village Hall, Library, and the Farmers & Merchant’s Bank.  There were no additions made to the agenda.

MINUTE APPROVAL

                Motion by Knox, seconded by Boyce to approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of January 27, 2020, and Special Board Meeting of February 4, 2020.  Motion carried.

CITIZENS WISHING TO BE HEARD

                None.

                None.

NEW BUSINESS

                Planning Commission Recommendation for Land Division Approval for Todd and Shawn Funk at 4011 S. Holden Road.   Motion by Boyce, seconded by Gerber to accept the Planning Commission recommendation to approve the land division for Todd and Shawn Funk at 4011 S. Holden Road as it is within the Village’s Extraterritorial Plat Jurisdiction.  Motion carried.

                Planning Commission Recommendation for Land Division Approval for Jeb McMahon for 201 S. Wright Street in Orfordville. Motion by Boyce, seconded by Gerber to accept the Planning Commission recommendation to approve the land division for Jeb McMahon for 201 S. Wright Street which will separate the Apartment Building from the Storage Units.  Motion carried.

                Update on Residential Development in the Village.  President Phillips explained that representatives from the Village are meeting with a residential developer. President Phillips further explained that the Village is researching financing options and responsibilities, and working to move forward with the project.  No action was taken.

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Schmidt to approve the Department Head Reports.  Motion carried.

VOUCHERS

                Motion by Knox, seconded by Boyce to approve the vouchers for $44,418.13 (including the voucher for Central States for $11,654.18).  Motion carried.

ADJOURN

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Knox to adjourn at 7:07 p.m. Motion carried.
