Regular Board Meeting

CALL TO ORDER

                President Gary Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Present were President Phillips, Tina Suiter-Meyers, Beth Schmidt, Cami Myers-Alstat, Terry Gerber, Nikki Tuffree, and Jason Knox.  Also present were Nick Bubolz from Town & Country Engineering, Librarian Sarah Strunz, Chief Brian Raupp, DPW Director Nick Todd, and Clerk Sherri Waege.

AGENDA VERIFICATION

                Clerk Waege verified that on February 12, 2022, copies of the agenda were posted at the Village Hall and Orfordville Post Office.   Copies of the agenda were delivered to the board members on February 13, 2022.   There were no additions made to the agenda.

MINUTE APPROVAL

                Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Gerber to approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of January 24, 2022 and Special Board Meeting of January 31, 2022.  Motion carried.

CITIZENS WISHING TO BE HEARD

                None.

                None.

NEW BUSINESS

                Pay Request for Rock Road for repaving in 2021.   Nick Bubolz from Town & Country Engineering was present to explain the pay request for street paving in 2021.    Bubolz further explained that a retainage of $13,944.89 will be held to complete restoration and incidentals.  Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Gerber to approve Pay Request #2 for Rock Road for the 2021 paving project for $51,824.22.  Motion carried.

                Amend Resolution R-2021-05A  to appoint an Emergency Management Director.  President Phillips explained that the Village has an ordinance that allows for appointing an Emergency Management Director.   President Phillips added that the Village has not had one for years.   President Phillips explained that he would like to appoint the Fire Chief as Emergency Management Director based on training in emergency response for weather related situations and for their hazardous material training.  Motion carried.

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS

                President Phillips read a Certificate of Accommodation that the Orfordville Library received from Governor Tony Evers.  The Village Board congratulated Librarian Sarah Strunz on receiving the Accommodation.    DPW Director Todd explained the item in his report regarding security cameras at public facilities in the village.  Librarian Strunz added that they were able to purchase new shelving for the children’s area of the library using donated money.  Motion by Knox, seconded by Tuffree to approve the Department Head Reports.  Motion carried.

VOUCHERS

                Motion by Knox, seconded by Schmidt to approve the vouchers with a check range of 34098-34148.  Motion carried.

ADJOURN

                Motion by Knox, seconded by Tuffree to adjourn at 7:16 p.m.  Motion carried.
