VILLAGE PRESIDENT UPDATE

                President Burtness explained the following:

  • Fire Inspection Services out of Nashotah, WI will be doing the commercial inspections on behalf of the Orfordville Fire Department.  President Burtness wanted to let business owners know as they will be seeing some new people.   President Burtness explained that the commercial inspections are not getting done due to staffing concerns.  President Burtness further explained that while this does cost the Fire District to have this done, the expense will be more than offset by the 2% dues we get back from the state.  The Fire Department  will lose out on the income if we fail to get the inspections done.  For more information, the following link describes the qualifications we need to meet.  https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/misc/lc/issue_briefs/2019/local_government/ib_firedues_ab_2019_10_01    https://www.fireinspection.expert/Nashotah, WI
