Regular Board Meeting

CALL TO ORDER

                President Gary Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Present were President Phillips, Beth Schmidt, Chuck Boyce, Terry Gerber, Nikki Tuffree, and Jason Knox.  Also present were Don Bomkamp and Clerk Sherri Waege.  Absent was Tina Suiter-Meyers.

AGENDA VERIFICATION

                Clerk Waege verified that on February 19, 2021, copies of the agenda were delivered to the President and Trustees; and posted at the Village Hall, Library, and the Orfordville Post Office. There were no additions made to the agenda.

MINUTE APPROVAL

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Knox to approve the February 8, 2021 minutes.  Motion carried.

CITIZENS WISHING TO BE HEARD

                None.

VILLAGE PRESIDENTS UPDATE

                President Phillips explained that he and Clerk Waege had a meeting with Joe Murray from Ehlers in regards to refinancing some of the Village debt.    President Phillips also explained that he and DPW Director Nick Todd had a meeting with State Senator Janice Ringhand and Assemblyman Mark Spreitzer regarding the resurfacing of State Highway 213 in 2025.   President Phillips explained that the state will pay for everything with the exception of the replacement of all the parking lanes.  President Phillips explained that the Village Portion will be around $115,000.00, and the States portion is $9,300,000.00.  President Phillips explained that he felt the state should pay for the Village portion of the project as well.   Senator Ringhand is going to be looking into it further on behalf of the Village.

                None.

NEW BUSINESS

                Operator License.  Motion by Boyce, seconded by Gerber to accept the Police Commission recommendation to grant an Operator License to expire June 30, 2021 to Kelly Lawrence. Motion carried.

                Conditional Use Permit.   Motion by Gerber, seconded by Knox to accept the Planning Commission recommendation to approve the revised Conditional Use Permit for Don Bomkamp of Bombers Car Wash located at 727 Genesis Drive.  The revised Conditional Use Permit will now include the carwash, spray on bedliners, under coating, detail work, and accessory sales.  Motion carried.

TREASURER REPORT

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Boyce to approve the January Treasurer Report.  Motion carried.

VOUCHERS

                Motion by Boyce, seconded by Tuffree to approve vouchers with a check range of 32899-32951 for $633,654.32.  Motion carried.

ADJOURN

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Boyce to adjourn at 7:09 p.m.  Motion carried.
