CALL TO ORDER

                President Dennis Burtness called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.   Present were President Burtness, David Olsen, Beth Schmidt, Nikki Tuffree, and Terry Gerber.   Also present were Keith & Jen Roe,  Attorney Mike Davis, Chief Jeremiah Burdick, DPW Director Nick Todd, and Clerk Sherri Waege.  Absent were Cami Myers-Alstat and Terry Morris.

AGENDA VERIFICATION

                Clerk Waege verified that on May 24, 2024, copies of the agenda were delivered to the President and Trustees; and posted at the Village Hall, Library, and the Orfordville Post Office.  There were no additions made to the agenda.

APPROVE MINUTES

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Schmidt to approve the May 13, 2024 minutes.  Motion carried.

CITIZENS WISHING TO BE HEARD

                None.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

                None.

NEW BUSINESS

                Task Order for Engineering Contract for the Water Tower Interior Painting Project.  Clerk Waege explained that the contract for the project did not include the engineers cost to complete the Safe Drinking Water paperwork and submittal.   Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Gerber to approve Amendment #9 of the Task Order for the Water Tower Interior Painting Project for the additional cost of $7,500.00.  Motion carried.

                Mobile Food Establishment Ordinance Amendment.  President Burtness reviewed the amendments that he would like to make.  Jen Roe was present and asked if they could operate on Jason Nehls’ property across the street which is zoned commercial. Discussion held on the zoning ordinance for commercial for permitted and conditional uses.   No action was taken to allow more time to review the request to be able to relocate across the street at the property zoned commercial.

                Second Driveway at Vinnie’s Autobody at 109 S. Wright Street.  Vinnie Nafzger was not present.   Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Gerber to table to the June 10, 2024 meeting.   Motion carried.

TREASURER REPORT

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Schmidt to approve the April 2024 Treasurer Report.  Motion carried.

VOUCHERS

                Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Gerber to approve the vouchers with a range of 37096-37126.  Motion carried.

VILLAGE PRESIDENTS UPDATE

                President Burtness explained the following:

·          The Parkview Destination Imagination global team results are as follows:

               18th out of 47th,  7th out of 37th, and 11th out of 35th.  Congratulations to the students                and parents who were part of this success.

·         A CPR class will be hosted by the Orfordville Fire Protection District on Saturday, June 8th at 11:30 am at Purdy Park.  Please use this link for more  information.https://facebook.com/events/s/community-cpr/816155063764503/

·         The flower boxes downtown have been planted and look great!  Thank you to those who help make this possible through your donations and time!

·         Congratulations to the Parkview Class of 2024.  We pray for success in the next step in your lives and the contributions you will make to those around you.        

·         Electronics Drive Thursday May 30th from 5-7:30 p .m. behind the Village Hall.

·          Thank you to American Legion Post 209 for recognizing our fallen heroes at their annual Memorial Celebration.
