VILLAGE OF ORFORDVILLE

CALL TO ORDER

                President Gary Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Present were President Phillips, Tina Suiter- Meyers, Beth Schmidt. Chuck Boyce, Terry Gerber, Nikki Tuffree, and Jason Knox.  Also present were Librarian Sarah Strunz, DPW Director Nick Todd, Chief Brian Raupp, and Clerk Sherri Waege.

AGENDA VERIFICATION

                Clerk Waege verified that on March 5, 2020, copies of the agenda were delivered to the President and Trustees; and posted at the Library, Farmers & Merchant’s Bank, and the Village Hall. There were no additions made to the agenda.

MINUTE APPROVAL

                Motion by Boyce, seconded by Knox to approve the minutes of the February 24, 2020 meeting.  Motion carried.

CITIZENS WISHING TO BE HEARD

NEW BUSINESS

                Amend Chapter 121 to Incorporate the Requirements of SPS 361. Clerk Waege explained that the Village is required to have the requirements of SPS 361 so the local building inspector can do commercial electrical inspectors.  Motion by Tuffree, seconded by Suiter-Meyers to amend Chapter 121 to include the following ”Commercial and industrial buildings covered by SPS 361.02.  All plans shall contain sufficient information to determine compliance with this code and all other applicable regulations.  All plans shall be prepared in accordance with the provisions in SPS 361.31.and of this code.   Plans shall bear the name of the architect, engineer, or designer who prepared them, if any, and shall clearly indicate the nature and character of the work proposed.  All plans for projects involving buildings over 25,000 cubic feet and up to 50,000 cubic feet shall be prepared and signed by a Wisconsin registered architect or engineer and shall be subject to the requirements in SPS 361.31.” Motion carried.

                Adopt Resolution R-2022-02.  Motion by Boyce, seconded by Tuffree to adopt Resolution R-2022-02 to set guidelines for employee reimbursement.  Motion carried.

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Knox to approve the Department Head Reports.  Motion carried.

VOUCHERS

                Motion by Gerber, seconded by Boyce to approve the vouchers for $109,440.67, including $13,170.80 for Central States, and $52,900.81 for the Bank of Brodhead.  Motion carried.

ADJOURN

                Motion by Boyce, seconded by Knox to adjourn at 7:19 p.m.  Motion carried.
